美國總統川普過去多次表態欲取得格陵蘭，並揚言自2月1日起對部分歐洲國家加徵關稅，但他於1月21日突然宣布暫不推動相關措施，並聲稱已提出一項格陵蘭「協議構想」。
專家指出，川普未說明協議內容，也未證實丹麥或格陵蘭是否同意，讓盟友感到困惑。這類反覆立場削弱美國可信度，長期恐讓中國在戰略上取得優勢。
Trump Reverses Stance on Greenland, Experts Warn of Growing Trust Gap with Allies
U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly said that he wants to gain control of Greenland and once warned that the United States would raise tariffs on some European countries starting February 1. However, President Trump suddenly announced that he would not move forward with these measures and said that he had proposed a so-called “framework agreement” on Greenland on January 21.
Experts pointed out that President Trump did not explain the details of the agreement and did not confirm whether Denmark or Greenland had agreed to it, which has left U.S. allies confused. Analysts said that such repeated policy reversals weaken U.S. credibility and, in the long run, could allow China to gain a strategic advantage.

基隆市「台北生活家」社區於1月21日深夜發生住宅火警，屋內大量衣物與回收雜物助長火勢，濃煙迅速封鎖逃生動線。仁愛消防分隊小隊長三度進入火場搜救，曾提醒同袍屋內雜物「堆得像山」，行動極度受阻。
小隊長為救受困的羅姓女子，將面罩讓出後因缺氧昏迷，送醫不治，羅女也因傷重身亡，這起火警共造成2死4傷，囤積雜物成為奪命關鍵。
Clutter Blocks Escape Routes as Firefighter Dies in Keelung Blaze
A residential fire broke out late on January 21 at a community in Keelung City. A large amount of clothing and recycled items inside the home fueled the fire, and thick smoke quickly blocked escape routes. The deputy captain of the Renai Fire Station entered the burning building three times for rescue and warned his teammates that the clutter inside was “piled up like a mountain,” making movement extremely difficult.
The deputy captain gave his oxygen mask to a trapped woman surnamed Luo and later lost consciousness due to a lack of oxygen before being rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The woman also died from severe injuries, and the fire resulted in two deaths and four injuries, with hoarded clutter becoming the key factor behind the tragedy.

美國國會必須在1月30日前通過支出法案，才能避免聯邦政府再度關門。美國聯邦眾議院通過多項撥款法案，其中一項涵蓋國防、醫療與教育等領域，並以341票對88票獲得跨黨派支持。
眾議院撥款委員會公布國防撥款內容，編列約11.5億美元支持台灣防衛合作。法案將送交參議院審議，預計於下周表決，被視為避免政府停擺的重要進展。
U.S. Government Shutdown Nears as House of Representatives Passes Appropriation Bill Supporting Taiwan
The U.S. Congress must pass spending bills by January 30 to avoid another Federal Government shutdown. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed several appropriation bills, including one covering defense, health care, and education, which was approved with bipartisan support by a vote of 341 to 88.
The House Appropriations Committee has released details of the defense funding plan, which includes about 1.15 billion U.S. dollars to support Taiwan’s defense cooperation. The bill will be sent to the Senate for review and is expected to be voted on next week, and it is seen as an important step toward preventing a government shutdown.
第四則：統一集團301億併下家樂福 通路版圖再擴大
統一企業公告，台灣家樂福最終交易價確定為301億元，比原估減少約10億元。統一自2024年起將家樂福納入合併報表，雖因併購費用與物流中心火災在初期出現虧損，但家樂福自2024年下半年起已恢復獲利。
統一近年積極布局通路，包括收購Yahoo電商、入股PChome，進一步打造完整零售生態系。
Uni-President Buys Carrefour Taiwan for NT$301 Billion, Expanding Its Retail Network
The Uni-President announced that the final transaction price for Carrefour Taiwan is confirmed at NT$301 billion, which is about NT$10 billion lower than the original estimate. Uni-President has included Carrefour in its consolidated financial statements since 2024, and although the company saw early losses due to acquisition costs and a logistics center fire, Carrefour returned to profit in the second half of 2024.
Uni-President has actively expanded its retail network in recent years, including acquiring Yahoo’s e-commerce business in Taiwan and investing in PChome, further building a more complete retail ecosystem.
