第一則：史上最長的漢光演習登場 動員上萬名後備軍人
國軍年度重大軍事演習「漢光41號」於7月9日正式展開，不同於以往五天的操演，此次演習延長至10天9夜，被稱為史上最長的漢光。且首次以旅級規模動員，總計約有2.2萬名後備軍人參與。
演習首日模擬敵軍對灰色地帶進行襲擾，磨練各軍種之應對。將領指出，今年因天數拉長，演習過程將儘可能趨近真實狀況，驗證平時訓練成果並強化城鎮作戰能力。
The Longest Han Kuang Exercise in History Begins, With Over 22,000 Reservists Joining
The annual military exercise “Han Kuang 41” started on July 9. Unlike the usual five-day drills, this year’s exercise lasts 10 days and 9 nights, making it the longest Han Kuang Exercise ever. This time, it used a brigade-level scale for the first time, with about 22,000 reservists taking part.
On the first day, the exercise simulated enemy attacks in gray zones to train how different military units would respond. Military leaders said the longer duration this year will make the exercise as close to real situations as possible, testing training results and improving urban combat skills.

Trump Says No Delay for Tariff Start Date, U.S. Stock Market Closes with Swings
On July 8, U.S. President Donald Trump said on social media that tariffs will start on August 1 and won’t be delayed. He also plans to add a 50% tax on copper imports to help U.S. copper production. This news pushed New York copper prices up by over 12%.
Trump also warned of up to 200% taxes on imported medicines “soon,” but said there would be 1 to 1.5 years to prepare. After the news, the Dow Jones Indexes dropped 0.37%, and U.S. stocks ended the day with mixed movements.
第三則：高中免試入學錄取率創新高 仍有422人未錄取
114學年度高中免試入學近日放榜，錄取率達99.63%，創下歷年新高，共有11萬4,257名考生報名，但仍有422人未獲錄取，主要原因是選填志願數過少，導致無法分發至志願學校。其中基北區未錄取人數達到213人，占全國一半。
教育部表示，因少子化影響招生規模，部分私立高職錄取名額減少，未錄取或放棄資格的學生，可留意各校於7月底公告的續招資訊。
Admission Rate for High School Exam-Free Admission Sets Record, 422 Students Not Admitted
The results for the 114th academic year’s high school exam-free admission were announced recently. The admission rate reached 99.63%, the highest ever. Out of 114,257 applicants, 422 students were not admitted, mostly because they chose too few school preferences, making it hard to match them with schools. In the Keelung-Taipei area, 213 students were not admitted, which is half of the total number nationwide.
The Ministry of Education said fewer students are being born, so some private vocational schools have fewer spots. Students who were not admitted or gave up their spots can check schools’ supplementary admission information at the end of July.

Additionally, leaders being at the center of the organization, must better understand their own social behaviors as well as those of others, and actively strengthen interpersonal relationships within the organization. This not only enhances employees’ mental health but also promotes teamwork and creativity, becoming a key factor for future success.

Cybersecurity Risks of Chinese Software; Korean Fan App also Faces Controversy
The National Security Bureau recently warned about several Chinese-made apps, including “Rednote,” “Weibo,” and “Douyin,” for excessively collecting personal data. These apps track users’ locations and biometric features, which could lead to data breaches.
Additionally, the Korean fan app “Bubble” has partnered with QQ Music, requiring users to agree to migrate their personal data to Chinese servers. This has upset many fans and led to a wave of cancellations. Experts remind users to stay alert to keep their personal information safe.
