Defending Taiwan Capability In Doubt? US Defense Department Report Leaks Alarming Facts

According to a classified Overmatch Brief from the U.S. The Department of Defense, America’s military dominance in the Pacific is falling, and the U.S. can no longer guarantee Taiwan’s defense. It also warns that China now has enough missiles to strike before U.S. weapons could arrive.

China has built up around 600 hypersonic weapons, leaving even new aircraft carriers at risk. The report says the U.S. relies too much on costly, fragile weapons and urges allies to raise defense spending to counter China’s growing power.

With 99.40% of votes counted in Honduras , National Party candidate Asfura declared victory, while ruling party candidate Rixi Moncada conceded. President Xiomara Castro said the results were altered and filed complaints with international organizations such as the United Nations.

The election gained attention as both leading candidates back restoring ties with Taiwan. In the capital, around 500 ruling party supporters protested after the vote, with some setting fires.

受惠於 AI 熱潮帶動產業需求強勁,今年前十月受僱員工累計實質總薪資為584,550元,年增 2.22%,創近十年同期最大增幅,顯示薪資成長高於物價漲幅,其中以電子零組件製造業,電腦、電子產品與光學製品製造業最為亮眼。

主計總處指出,高科技產業部分廠商已採季度或半年發放獎金,亦有業者提前發放部分獎金,作為激勵員工士氣的措施。

Boosted by strong industrial demand from the AI boom, real total wages for employed workers reached NT$584,550 in the first ten months of this year, up 2.22% from a year earlier and the highest growth in nearly a decade. The figures show wages rising faster than inflation, with the electronic components sector and the computer, electronic, and optical products sector seeing the strongest gains.

The Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics said that some high tech companies are giving bonuses quarterly or semi annually, and some have even paid part of the bonus early to boost employee morale.

A survey shows that Gen Z graduates need an average of 81 days to find a job and about 51 days to get used to the work rhythm. Companies usually treat the first three months as an observation period, but this stage has shifted from a one-way evaluation to a two-way assessment.

More than 70 percent of companies say they value a newcomer’s attitude and willingness to learn more than skills. About 35 percent of Gen Z workers choose to leave within three months, which reflects how young people care more about value alignment and room for growth.
