第一則：肯德基蛋塔藏完整電池！店員出包釀禍
高雄市楠梓肯德基門市近日傳出食安爭議，有民眾在 Threads 發文指出，購買盒裝蛋塔返家食用時，竟在蛋塔內發現完整鹼性電池，畫面曝光後引發討論。
高雄市政府衛生局前往稽查，發現員工製作蛋塔時，不慎將計時器掉入未烘烤的蛋塔盤，導致電池混入產品，且未依標準程序丟棄該批商品。衛生局將依《食品安全衛生管理法》裁罰並移送檢調，也提醒業者強化管理，避免類似事件再發生。
KFC Egg Tart Found with a Whole Battery! Staff Mistake Sparks Food Safety Scare
A food safety controversy recently broke out at a KFC branch in Nanzih, Kaohsiung. A customer posted on Threads that after buying a boxed egg tart and taking it home to eat, the customer found a whole alkaline battery inside the tart. The photos were shared online and quickly sparked public discussion.
The Kaohsiung City Health Bureau carried out an inspection and found that while making the egg tarts, an employee accidentally dropped a timer into the tray before baking, which caused the battery to be mixed into the product. The staff did not discard the affected batch according to standard procedures. The bureau will impose fines in accordance with the Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation and will refer the case to prosecutors. It also reminded businesses to strengthen management and prevent similar incidents from happening again.
第二則：國防預算不再卡關？民眾黨同意軍購法案付委審查
總統賴清德表示，國防預算延宕可能讓台灣跌出軍售優先名單，呼籲立法院儘速通過國防特別條例。民眾黨立院黨團總召陳清龍回應，為了維護國防安全，民眾黨將軍購條例列為「最優先法案」，並同意讓行政院版草案付委，與民眾黨版本併案審查。
民眾黨版已明確編列美國軍售項目，並預留約新台幣881億元的彈性預算，要求國防部儘速提交專案報告，以盡快提升台灣的防衛作戰能力。
Defense Budget No Longer Blocked? TPP Agrees to Joint Review of Procurement Bill
President Lai Ching-te stated that delays in the defense budget might remove Taiwan from the priority list for arms sales. He urged the Legislative Yuan to pass the Special Defense Regulation as soon as possible. TPP caucus leader Chen Ching-lung responded that for national security, the party will list the military procurement regulation as its “top priority bill” and also agreed to let the Executive Yuan’s version proceed to committee for joint review with the TPP version.
The TPP version clearly lists U.S. arms sale items and includes a flexible budget of about 88.1 billion TWD. TPP caucus requested the Ministry of National Defense to submit a special report quickly to improve Taiwan’s defense capabilities as soon as possible.

Gunfire in British Columbia School! Gunman Kills Many Before Suicide
A severe shooting happened in British Columbia, Canada, where a brown-haired gunman in a dress entered a school and a nearby house to open fire. This incident resulted in nine deaths in total at the school and the residence, including the gunman who committed suicide at the scene.
Prime Minister Mark Carney immediately canceled his trip to Germany and expressed his condolences to the families on social media. Since Canada has strict gun control, this event is the second deadliest school shooting since 1989, drawing significant international attention.

The parent company of 85°C, Gourmet Master, announced its decision to close many stores in China. The company said that the China market continued to lose money, and revenue from the first nine months made up only 36%, so it chose to stop the losses at once.
Gourmet Master is shifting its business focus to the United States. 85°C has quickly expanded there, reaching 88 stores, and revenue share has risen to 48%. Its cross-state information system and the unique appeal of Taiwanese-style bread have become the two key factors behind the brand’s success in the U.S.
