總統賴清德於 3 月 30 日在總統府接見美國聯邦參議院跨黨派訪問團。賴清德強調，台灣將持續提升自我防衛能力，並深化與美國及友盟國家的安全合作。

President Lai Ching-te met a bipartisan delegation from the United States Senate at the Presidential Office on March 30. Lai emphasized that Taiwan will continue to strengthen its self-defense capabilities and deepen security cooperation with the United States and other partner countries.
The government plans to promote an eight-year, 40 billion U.S. dollar special defense budget to strengthen missile defense, artificial intelligence military applications, and the development of the domestic defense industry. Iran Plans to Charge Strait of Hormuz Transit Fees, Drawing Global Attention
Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee on March 30 gave initial approval to a plan to charge transit fees in the Strait of Hormuz, but the proposal still needs to pass a full parliamentary vote. The Iranian government said the plan will establish a fee collection and settlement system and may charge ships passing through the strait to strengthen Iran’s management of the waterway.
The Strait of Hormuz is a key global oil shipping route, and about 20 percent of the world’s oil supply passes through it. The United States government said the plan is not legitimate and warned that the move could further increase international tensions.

今年白沙屯媽祖北港進香於 4 月 12 日自苗栗起駕，預計將進入台中市大甲區。今年報名參與的香燈腳人數已突破 30 萬人，沿途將出現大量人潮。
大甲分局表示，警方將在媽祖鑾轎前後部署警力並加強交通疏導。警方提醒民眾可使用「白沙屯 GPS」App掌握鑾轎位置，並依情況改走替代道路，以避免交通壅塞並確保行人與用路人安全。
Baishatun Mazu Pilgrimage to Enter Dajia, Police Announce Traffic Plan
This year’s Baishatun Mazu Pilgrimage to Beigang began in Miaoli on April 12 and is expected to enter Dajia District in Taichung. The number of registered pilgrims has exceeded 300,000 this year, and large crowds are expected along the route.
The Dajia Precinct said police will deploy officers in front of and behind the Mazu palanquin and strengthen traffic control.
