第一則：賴清德增設第三類戰鬥加給 官兵每月多領四千元
總統賴清德於 8 月19 日宣布，除了既有的第一、第二類型戰鬥部隊加給新增「第三類型戰鬥部隊加給」，符合資格的服役官兵自 7 月 1 日起，每月可增加 4,000 元。
第三類型戰鬥部隊主要涵蓋旅級以下，負責支援戰鬥及維持作戰能力的官兵。賴清德上任後已調高志願役、戰鬥部隊、戰航管、電偵及網路戰等 5 項加給，並將無人機部隊納入戰鬥部隊加給範圍，希望透過此次待遇調整，合理反映官兵承擔的責任與風險。
President Lai Announces NT$4,000 Monthly Allowance for Third-Tier Combat Units
President Lai Ching-te announced a new allowance for third-tier combat forces on August 19, in addition to the existing allowances for first-tier and second-tier combat forces. Eligible service members will receive an additional NT$4,000 per month, effective from July 1.
Third-tier combat forces mainly include personnel serving in units at or below the brigade level that support combat operations and sustain combat capabilities. Lai has increased five duty allowances covering volunteer service, combat units, air battle management, electronic reconnaissance, and cyberwarfare. He has also made drone units eligible for the Combat Forces Allowance. Lai hopes the adjustment will fairly reflect the responsibilities and risks taken by service members.
第二則：廈門推動金廈大橋通車 陸委會批評政治宣傳
廈門市政府於 8 月 18 日公布促進對台交流措施，聲稱金廈大橋廈門段海上主線爭取今年底通車，並將研究金門段的興建方案。
陸委會表示，金廈通橋是習近平「習五條」主張之一，相關工程是中國單方面於廈門進行的建設，具有政治宣傳意圖，金廈通橋涉及兩岸公權力，並非中國可以片面決定，台灣政府目前也沒有推動通橋的政策與規劃。
Xiamen Pushes Kinmen-Xiamen Bridge Plan as Taiwan Warns of Political Messaging
The Xiamen City Government announced new measures to promote cross-strait exchanges on August 18. It claimed that it aims to open the main offshore section of the Kinmen-Xiamen Bridge on the Xiamen side by the end of this year. It also plans to study a possible route on the Kinmen side.
Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council said the Kinmen-Xiamen bridge plan is part of “Xi’s Five Points,” proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping. It added that the project is being carried out unilaterally by China in Xiamen and is intended for political messaging. The council stressed that a bridge between Kinmen and Xiamen involves the authority of both sides and cannot be decided by China alone. Taiwan currently has no policy or plan to build the bridge.

南韓與美國於 8 月 19 日宣布，「乙支自由護盾」聯合軍演從原訂的 11 天縮短至 5 天，部分實地訓練取消或改為模擬演練，這項調整是美國總統川普下令大幅減少美方參與後做出的決定。
北韓領導人金正恩的妹妹金與正表示，即使規模與時間縮減，軍演仍具有挑釁和侵略性，南韓總統李在明則認為，川普希望透過縮減軍演，創造美國與北韓恢復對話的條件。
U.S.–South Korea Drills Cut to Five Days as North Korea Still Calls Them Provocative
South Korea and the United States announced on August 19 that they would shorten the Ulchi Freedom Shield joint military exercise from 11 days to five. Some field training was also canceled or replaced with simulations. The decision came after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a major reduction in U.S. participation.
Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, said the drills remained provocative and aggressive despite their smaller scale and shorter duration. South Korean President Lee Jae Myung said Trump appeared to be reducing the exercise to create conditions for renewed dialogue between the United States and North Korea.

The VTuber industry has grown rapidly in recent years, with more creators using virtual characters to livestream on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. VTuber modelers are responsible for turning two-dimensional character illustrations into models that can show real-time facial expressions and movements, making them a key part of bringing virtual characters to life.
Industry experts said that as the market becomes more professional, high-quality VTuber modelers remain in short supply. A complete VTuber modeling project usually costs between NT$40,000 and NT$60,000, and the most popular modelers may be fully booked for up to one year.
第五則：沒時間運動當藉口？微運動也能降低疾病風險
專家指出，每天只要進行幾分鐘的高強度活動，即使只是趕公車或快速爬樓梯，也有助於降低八大疾病及死亡風險，顯示運動強度比總時間更重要。
每週僅累積 15 到 20 分鐘劇烈運動，就能提升心臟運作效率、減少發炎反應，並有助維持大腦細胞健康，帶來健康效益。但高齡者或有特定健康狀況者，仍應依自身情況調整運動強度。
Too Busy to Exercise? Short Bursts of Activity Can Lower Disease Risk
Experts say that just a few minutes of vigorous activity each day, even something as simple as running for a bus or climbing stairs quickly, can help lower the risk of 8 major diseases and death. The findings suggest that exercise intensity matters more than the total amount of time spent exercising.
Just 15 to 20 minutes of vigorous exercise a week can improve heart function, reduce inflammation, and help keep brain cells healthy, providing real health benefits. However, older adults and people with certain health conditions should adjust the intensity of their exercise based on their physical condition.
