歐洲多國爆發大規模抗議。法國原先因教育問題的抗議活動，於 10 月 17 日上升至暴力衝突，示威者洗劫商店，甚至縱火燒毀百年市政廳，警方單日逮捕近 2,400 人。總統馬克宏譴責暴力，強調將追究肇事者責任。

Wave of Protests Sweeps Across Europe! Demonstrations Turn Violent
Large-scale protests have broken out across several European countries. Protests in France over education problems turned violent on October 17. Some protesters looted shops and even set fire to a century-old city hall. Police arrested nearly 2,400 people in a single day. President Macron condemned the violence and promised to hold those responsible accountable.
In Milan, Italy, protests over poor public services and rising living costs also led to violence, with demonstrators smashing shop windows and looting stores. Badge Changed at the Last Minute! Lee Yang Refuses to Attend Asian Para Games Opening Ceremony
The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games held their opening ceremony on October 18. However, Taiwan’s Sports Minister Lee Yang had his accreditation badge unexpectedly changed from “Sports Minister” to “NPC Guest.” Because the organizers did not provide a clear explanation for the change, Lee refused to attend the opening ceremony in protest.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Sports expressed strong dissatisfaction with the decision and filed a formal protest with the Asian Paralympic Committee. The ministry is also working through diplomatic channels to resolve the issue. It stressed that accreditation badges should reflect attendees’ official positions and called for fair treatment to prevent non-sporting factors from interfering with the Games.

韓國媒體於 10 月 18 日報導中指出，三星電子將採用台積電 3 奈米製程，為輝達下一代的客製化高頻寬記憶體製造基礎晶粒，這將是三星首次在 HBM 製造上與台積電合作。

At Nvidia's Request, Samsung to Use TSMC's 3nm Process to Produce Base Die
South Korean media reported on October 18 that Samsung Electronics will use TSMC’s 3-nanometer process to produce base dies for Nvidia’s next-generation custom high-bandwidth memory chips. This will mark the first time Samsung has worked with TSMC in HBM production.
In addition, Nvidia has also asked SK Hynix and Micron to use TSMC’s manufacturing process for their base dies to standardize chip designs across different suppliers. Although Samsung has agreed to these requirements, it still plans to produce HBM using its own manufacturing process to meet the needs of other customers.
