第一則：公教年金恐提前破產？停砍修法掀論戰
立法院召集朝野黨團協商「停砍公教人員年金」修法版本，全案確定於 12 月 12 日送交立法院院會進行三讀。
銓敘部部長指出，即使維持現行制度，退撫基金恐於 2049 年破產，若修法停止調降所得替代率，破產時間將提前約 3 至 4 年。國民黨與民眾黨主張停砍有助避免文官體系與師資流失，民進黨則認為修法將破壞制度公平，並加速年金破產。
Could Public Pensions Go Bankrupt Sooner? Debate Erupts Over Ending Benefit Cuts
The Legislative Yuan held cross party talks on a bill to halt pension cuts for civil servants, teachers and military personnel. The bill was sent to the plenary session for a third reading on December 12.
The Minister of Civil Service said that under the current system, the pension fund could face bankruptcy by 2049. If cuts to the income replacement rate stop, the fund would run out about three to four years earlier. The KMT and the Taiwan People’s Party support halting the cuts to prevent the loss of civil servants and teachers, while the Democratic Progressive Party warns this would undermine fairness and speed up insolvency.

行政院於 12 月 11 日通過《人工生殖法》修正草案，本次修法立基於尊重女性的生育自主權，同時明確規範人工生殖子女的法律地位，也將未婚和同性婚姻的女性納入適用範圍，以平等保障其組織家庭生活的權利。
修正重點包括，生殖前須經專業機構進行子女利益評估，允許女同性伴侶經公證後，使用伴侶卵子與捐贈精子結合，此外，也增訂人工生殖子女的血緣認知權，全案現已函請立法院審議。
Revised Assisted Reproduction Law Under Review, Women’s Reproductive Autonomy in Focus
The Executive Yuan approved draft amendments to the Assisted Reproduction Act on December 11. The changes aim to respect women’s reproductive autonomy, clarify the legal status of children born through assisted reproduction, and extend the law to unmarried women and women in same sex marriages to ensure equal rights to form families.
Key amendments require a child welfare assessment by a professional body before reproduction, allow female same sex couples to use a partner’s eggs with donated sperm after notarization, and grant children born through assisted reproduction the right to know their biological origins. The bill has now been submitted to the Legislative Yuan for review.
