第一則:台積電分紅爭議延燒 魏哲家親自出面溝通

台積電近期傳出員工分紅縮水爭議,引發內部討論。台積電董事長魏哲家表示,會親自召開員工溝通會,向員工說明分紅制度與實際發放情況。

台積電指出,今年第一季分紅較去年同期成長約 30%,個人金額則依職級、年資與績效有所不同。市場也關注,此次分紅風波是否將影響台積電內部士氣與高層人事異動。

TSMC Bonus Dispute Continues as C.C. Wei Communicates with Employees

TSMC has recently faced internal discussion after reports claimed that employee bonuses had been reduced. TSMC Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei said that he would personally hold a communication meeting with employees to explain the bonus system and the actual bonus payments.

TSMC said that bonuses in the first quarter of this year increased by about 30% compared with the same period last year. However, individual bonus amounts differed based on job level, years of service, and performance evaluations. The market is also watching whether the bonus dispute could affect employee morale and possible management changes inside the company.

美國眾議院軍事委員會公布明年財政年度國防授權法案內容,其中包含最高 10 億美元資金,協助推動「台灣安全合作倡議」,提升台灣自我防衛能力,相關法案預計於 6 月 4 日進行審議。

近年中國持續增加對台軍事壓力,美方則持續透過國防授權法案強化台美安全合作。外界也關注,美國後續對台軍事與安全支持是否將進一步升級。

U.S. Plans to Invest NT$30 Billion to Strengthen Taiwan’s Defense

The U.S. House Armed Services Committee released details of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027. The bill includes up to 1 billion U.S. dollars in funding to support the Taiwan Security Cooperation Initiative and strengthen Taiwan’s self-defense capabilities. The related bill is expected to be reviewed on June 4.

In recent years, China has continued to increase military pressure on Taiwan. Meanwhile, the United States has continued to strengthen U.S.-Taiwan security cooperation through the National Defense Authorization Act. The international community is also watching whether future U.S. military and security support for Taiwan will continue to expand.

第三則:70 歲以上換照新制上路 高齡駕駛須上課和體檢

交通部宣布,高齡駕駛換照新制將於 5 月 31 日正式上路,換照年齡將從原本 75 歲提前至 70 歲。高齡駕駛人換照時,須完成體格檢查與道路安全講習;75 歲後則需每 3 年換照一次,並增加認知功能測驗。

交通部表示,新制希望降低高齡駕駛事故風險,此外,70 歲以上主動繳回駕照者,也可申請 TPASS 乘車補助,鼓勵改搭大眾運輸。

New License Renewal Rules for Drivers Over 70 Require Health Checks and Safety Classes

Taiwan’s Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced that new driver’s license renewal rules for senior drivers will officially take effect on May 31. The renewal age will be lowered from 75 years old to 70 years old. Senior drivers must complete a health check and a road safety class when renewing their licenses. After the age of 75, drivers will also need to renew their licenses every three years and take cognitive function tests.

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications said the new policy aims to reduce traffic accidents involving elderly drivers. In addition, people over 70 who voluntarily return their driver’s licenses can also apply for TPASS transportation subsidies to encourage the use of public transportation.

路易莎董事長表示,連鎖超商 City Cafe 進軍外帶咖啡市場後,路易莎單店日銷量曾從 300 杯降至 50 杯,因此公司改以提供座位與學習空間的「K書中心」模式吸引客流。

路易莎目前全台約 550 間門市,目標在今年拓展至 600 間門市,並持續透過多元餐飲與數位點餐系統提升客單價與營運效率。

Louisa Coffee Chairman Says Study-Style Stores Were a Survival Strategy

Louisa Coffee’s chairman said that after the convenience store brand City Cafe entered the takeaway coffee market, Louisa’s daily sales at each store once dropped from 300 cups to 50 cups. The company therefore adopted a “study center” style by offering seats and study space to attract customers.

Louisa Coffee currently has about 550 stores across Taiwan and aims to expand to 600 stores this year. The company also plans to improve customer spending and operating efficiency through diversified food offerings and digital ordering systems.
