伊朗伊斯蘭革命衛隊聲稱已關閉荷莫茲海峽、並有部隊攻擊美國軍艦，已遭美國中央司令部駁斥。美方表示，6 月 10 日晚間商業船舶仍正常通行海峽，且沒有任何美國軍艦遭到攻擊。
為因應潛在威脅，美軍已連續兩天對伊朗發動自衛性空襲。依照指示，陸戰隊、空軍與海軍動用精確導引武器，打擊伊朗軍事監視能力、通訊系統及防空設施，以保護美軍與國際商船安全。
Iran Says the Strait of Hormuz Is Closed? U.S. Central Command Pushes Back
Claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that the Strait of Hormuz had been closed and that its forces had attacked U.S. warships were rejected by U.S. Central Command. The U.S. military said commercial vessels were still transiting the strait normally on the evening of June 10, and that no U.S. warships had come under attack.
In response to potential threats, the U.S. military has conducted defensive airstrikes against Iran for a second consecutive day. Following orders from the commander in chief, the Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy used precision-guided munition to target Iran’s military surveillance capabilities, communications systems, and air defense sites in an effort to protect U.S. forces and international commercial shipping.
